Privacy Policy

This policy explains what the EHS Compliance Hub ("the Hub," "we," "us") collects, why, and the choices you have. It applies to the Hub on the web (hub.aim-env.com) and to the Hub iOS and Android apps. The Hub is built and operated by AIM Environmental Health & Safety (aim-env.com).
The short version. We collect the email you sign up with, basic usage data, and the approximate location your internet connection reveals — so the Hub can work, stay secure, and improve. We do not sell your data or show ads. You can permanently delete your account and content yourself, anytime, from inside the app.
What we collect
- Account info. The work or school email address you sign up with, your password (stored only as a secure one-way hash — we never see it), and any profile details you add (such as your name, role, sector, or an avatar image).
- Content you create. Community questions and replies, private messages to other members, feedback or support tickets you send, and any files or screenshots you upload.
- Usage data. Which pages and tools you use and when, so we can understand what's helpful and fix problems.
- Approximate location. Your device's IP address is used to derive an approximate city, region, and country. We use this for security and to understand where our members are. We do not collect precise GPS location.
- Questions you ask AIM Bot. Questions you submit to our in-app assistant are processed to generate an answer and may be logged to monitor quality and prevent abuse.
Why we collect it
- To create and secure your account and provide the Hub's features.
- To keep the community professional and safe (a work/school email is required during the beta for this reason).
- To respond to your feedback and support requests.
- To understand usage and improve the tools.
- To detect, prevent, and address abuse, fraud, or security issues.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We use a small number of trusted service providers strictly to operate the Hub:
- Supabase — our database, authentication, and hosting backend, where your account and content are stored.
- Resend — to send account and notification emails.
- Stripe — to process optional voluntary support payments. Payments are available only on the website; if you choose to support the Hub, Stripe handles your card details (we never receive them). This is not available inside the mobile apps.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our members and the Hub.
Your choices and rights
- Delete your account. Open My account in the app and choose Delete my account. This permanently removes your sign-in, profile, and your community posts and replies. It cannot be undone.
- Access or correct your data. You can edit your profile in the app, or email us for help with any request.
- Notifications. You can opt out of Hub email alerts from your account settings.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your sign-in, profile, and posts are removed. Some records may be retained where necessary for security, legal, or fraud-prevention purposes, and routine backups are cycled out over time.
Security
We protect your data with encryption in transit, row-level database access controls, and least-privilege access. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to safeguard your information and limit who can access it.
Children
The Hub is a professional tool for adults in environmental, health & safety roles. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will update this page and revise the "last updated" date above. Continued use of the Hub after a change means you accept the updated policy.
